2013 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve
Photos by Sandeep Kundra

Hello again from the Summit!

Much more variety today... Activities, Weather, and Experiences!

Half the troop went whitewater rafting and the other half of the troop were roaming the farther reaches of the facility. Mr. D was rafting with scouts while Mr. A and Mr. W were roaming around looking for fun, too. We heard the scouts recap great stories about the rafting, Zip lines, BMX, Mountain Biking, and a water challenge course.

We wish we could provide photos of your scouts in each activity, but it's practically impossible with the size of this place and the fact we're outnumbered.

I do have a few pictures to share of the campsite and the downpour that visited us today.

In this first shot, you can see the Tower marking the center of Base Camp Delta. Our campsite is the closest one in the foreground. Two rows of 11 tents from left to right.

This second shot is a panoramic of about half of the Delta camping area. D207 is just right of center.

A couple from the downpour...

We also had a pink and orange sunset tonight after the deluge and distant lightning cleared. Sorry I don't have a picture to share, but I'm sure a picture of it will come from the many other cameras coming home. We will also try to find a way to merge some of the top photos across the contingent and distribute them after the Jamboree.

Tomorrow - we and the rest of Camp Delta are trekking to Green Garden Mountain and D207 will have the added pleasure of cleaning the latrines when we get back!

Thank you,

Mr. Andrews
Mr. Doolittle
Mr. Williams
